About
I’m Alam Aby Bashit, a senior system analyst and software engineer based in Bandung, Indonesia.
I learned software where it matters most: directly in production. Starting in February 2008, my career grew through every layer of the software stack — from programmer and Linux sysadmin to 11 years in engineering leadership (CTO, R&D, and Data/Database Services).
Across 18+ years in the software development life cycle, I have designed and delivered over 30 enterprise systems across telecommunications, energy utilities, and the public sector — including national-scale order fulfillment (NCX/FMC), rating & billing engines, and payment systems operating across Southeast Asia and Australia. Along the way, I backed that field experience with an Honours Diploma in IT Network Engineering (NIIT) and professional security credentials (EC-Council ECSA).
That practical journey shapes what I write on this site:
- Foundations that survive production — database scaling, performance tuning, and robust web/API architecture.
- Enterprise realities beyond CRUD — state machines, audit trails, rating & billing workflows, and what “Definition of Done” actually means.
- Field notes & tool audits — Oracle PL/SQL, Linux, and real-world evaluations of modern AI coding workflows.
I write in both English and Indonesian because foundational engineering insights shouldn’t be locked behind language barriers.
Away from the terminal, I’m gaming, building Gunpla, or tinkering with hardware. 🎮
